Mission

The NC State African American Faculty & Staff Organization (AAFSO) is an independent self-governing organization seeking effective representation of issues primarily concerning the African American community at North Carolina State University. Its objective is to develop programs that inform and support faculty and staff and to provide opportunities for professional growth and advancement to all members of the African American community.

AAFSO advocates to address the needs and concerns of our members with a goal of increasing African American recruitment, retention, advancement, equity, fairness, and inclusion in the campus community as we strive toward the university goals to truly become OnePACK.
